Jimmy has fast become an extremely experienced and sought after awards host and comedian having stormed the Real Variety Show back in 2015. He mixes a sunny disposition with cynicism and bemusement at much of the modern world all delivered with a cheeky natural charm. He regularly provides the studio warm up for The Graham Norton Show as well as Loose Women and The Claudia Winkleman Show and his onscreen TV credits include Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Electric, 7 Days and a host of International Comedy festival Galas.

Jimmy McGhie is an acclaimed stand-up comedian. A hit at Edinburgh and on the live circuit, he’s been a finalist in a host of new comedy competitions including the BBC New Talent and since gone on to perform all over the world.
Delivered with a down-to-earth, likeable charm and just the right amount of cynicism , Jimmy has the knack of making any audience feel like friends. He combines a bright disposition with a disdain for much of the modern world and his world weary persona matched with a cheeky charm and hilarious material about being 40, cyclists, phones, social media, millennials, hipster cafes, endless property shows and much more always go down a storm. His improvisational skills and ability to work a crowd are well honed from his 12 years on the comedy circuit and he is a masterful compere for any event and any crowd.
Jimmy has performed on BBC3 hit shows Live at the Electric and Russell Howard’s Good News. He regularly provides the studio warm up for BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, The Claudia Winkleman Show, Ch4’s Deal or No Deal and ITV’s Loose Women and Loose Men.
He has supported Jason Manford and John Bishop on tour and performed all over 10 solo shows at festivals around the world including the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Comedy Festival and New Zealand International Comedy festival.
