Gavin is one of the faces of BBC Sport and hosts rolling sports coverage for the BBC’s network of shows across BBC One, Two and News Channel. After getting his on-air break presenting Newsround, he then worked for Sky Sports News, Sky News, CBS News in America and breakfast television on ITV and Channel 5. 


Biography

Journalist and presenter Gavin Ramjaun works across TV and radio in sports, entertainment, and news. His TV work includes hosting and anchoring for BBC Sport, BBC News, BBC One, Sky Sports News, Sky News, CBS News in America, breakfast television for ITV and Channel 5. Along with developing a strong social footprint he frequently hosts media events, business keynotes and creative commercial campaigns.

One of the main faces of BBC Sport, Gavin hosts rolling sports coverage and programmes for the BBC’s network of shows across BBC One, Two and the News Channel, in addition to BBC World which has a reach of over four hundred million a week. He also presented rolling and breaking live news coverage for Sky Sports and was a London correspondent at US network CBS, where he was the live anchor on the scene on major news stories including terror attacks and big royal occasions.

His extensive journalistic background has seen him work on This Morning, as a news presenter, reviewer, and contributor in the shows interactive hub section. Before this Gavin was a correspondent for BBC Breakfast and got his on-air break presenting Newsround and Sportsround on CBBC.

Gavin was an analyst with LBC, news presenter with Capital, and reviewer for talkSPORT on the breakfast show. He has also reported on BBC Five Live, the Today programme on Radio 4, BBC World Service, fronted sports coverage for the BBC News Channel and BBC World and reported on the Winter Olympics.

As a speaker Gavin talks to business groups on making messages and stories count, his life experiences, and working his way up from the bottom as a runner. He also speaks about his experiences with diversity, racism and breaking barriers, his knowledge and forecasting on the current media landscape.

Guenther Steiner is the Former Team Principal of F1’s Haas, a role he held from the team’s inception until this year. Under his leadership, he grew Haas into one of the sport’s leading independent teams.

Joining Guenther on stage will be broadcaster and behavioural scientist Paul Mckenna, who has written a number of bestselling books, and works on how psychology and mindset can impact achievement.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
