An award-winning journalist, Nadine is an experienced business presenter. She has worked for the BBC, Sky and CNN. She presents CNBC’s Internet of Things: Powering the Digital Economy, investigating how digital innovation is reshaping industries by disrupting existing business models. She is a media coach to some of the world’s best-known brands and is a judge of The Business Book Awards.
Broadcaster and journalist Nadine Dereza presented business, news, and entertainment programmes on TV, including CNBC, where she hosted the technology programme IoT: Powering the Digital Economy, which investigated how digital innovation is reshaping industries. She has presented for Associated Press, BBC, CNN, SABC, Simply Money, Sky TV, Summit TV and TalkRadio.
Nadine co-produces and co-hosts The Television Podcast for the Royal Television Society London and was named Financial Journalist of the Year during her time at the Financial Times and Summit TV. Over the years, she has worked with entrepreneurs, management teams and CEOs and has interviewed key policy and decision makers, as well as countless global politicians.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills appointed Nadine as a Non-Executive Director of the WorldSkills London Board for the duration of the Skills Olympics four-year project to promote best practice apprenticeships and vocational training in the UK. She played an integral role in changing the way apprenticeships were perceived by pupils, parents, carers, teachers, employers, and policy makers. In doing so, she helped to lay the foundations for WorldSkills UK Live, the largest experiential skills, apprenticeships, and careers event in the UK.
Nadine is the founder and Media Director of Babaco Media, communication skills specialists who prepare clients for media interviews, presentations, crisis planning and parliamentary committee hearings. She is a Non-Executive Director for VirtuAll and CVTV, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and an Ambassador for Workers’ Educational Association (WEA). Nadine is a judge for The International Broadcasting Convention’s Accelerators Media Innovation Programme; The Business Books Awards; and Young Enterprise. She is also the co-author of Insider Secrets of Public Speaking.
