Comedian and writer Jen has perfomed seven solo shows, presented on BBC 6 Music, and appeared on Live at the Apollo, QI and Mock the Week. She also written her memoir The Other Mother, which is a book for any parent who feels they don’t fit the mould of a traditional 2.4 family.

 


Biography

Jen Brister is a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, and is a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits. She has written for BBC Scotland, presented for BBC 6 Music and Juice FM, and has been a regular contributor to magazines and online sites including Diva, g3, Standard Issue and The Huffington Post. Jen has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Frankie Boyle's New World Order, QI, and Mock the Week.

She has written and performed seven solo shows around the world, including at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Norway Comedy Box Festival, Comedy Club Asia, Adelaide Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival. She has toured extensively, with comedians Kerry Godliman, Francesca Martinez, and Roisin Conaty, and Frankie Boyle.

Jen performed with Russell Brand on his radio comedy Cloud Cuckoo for Radio 2, in Kerry Godliman’s sitcom, Kerry’s List, for Radio 4, and has performed stand up on Comedy Central in Live at the Comedy Store.

In her memoir The Other Mother, Jen takes a funny and honest look at life as a parent: from IVF awfulness to crying over the pages of sleep training manuals.

Please join us at Bishopsgate Institute on Wednesday 6th of November where we will be looking at high-performance and mindset with our two excellent speakers.

Guenther Steiner is the Former Team Principal of F1’s Haas, a role he held from the team’s inception until this year. Under his leadership, he grew Haas into one of the sport’s leading independent teams.

Joining Guenther on stage will be broadcaster and behavioural scientist Paul Mckenna, who has written a number of bestselling books, and works on how psychology and mindset can impact achievement.

Navigating Risk and Chaos – Strategies For Coping With An Uncertain World.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
