Biography

Iain Stirling is an award-winning Scottish comedian and presenter best known for his pithy narration for ITV’s hit reality show Love Island.

After writing and hosting comedy panel show The Dog Ate My Homework for CBBC, Iain won the Children’s BAFTA Best Presenter Award and BAFTA Scotland’s Best Programme Award. His list of television credits includes Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central and Drunk History, along with an array of panel shows. He took on the hosting role for ITV2’s CelebAbility, pitting celebrities against the general public in a series of unusual and comical tasks to answer the question – are celebrities really better than members of the public?

Making use of the dulcet tones that made him so popular on Love Island, Iain is a recognisable voice on the radio too, appearing on The Now Show and Dilemma for BBC Radio 4, Afternoon Edition and Fighting talk on Radio 5 Live, and Radio One. Internationally, he has performed at comedy festivals around the world, asking what would have happened if Adam and Eve had been Scottish, and explaining why planes are like the cast of Hollyoaks.
