Andrew Castle Andy Lane

Fee Band

The former British No.1 hosts news phone-in on the London talk station and commentates at Wimbledon, as well as occasionally coaching the PM.

Biography

The former British tennis champion turned presenter shared the GMTV sofa with the likes of Fiona Phillips and Kate Garraway, before testing his mettle in the Arctic on 71 Degrees North. Andrew has led live commentary of more than a dozen Men's Singles Finals for the BBC at Wimbledon, and is a regular commentator alongside John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Boris Becker, Tim Henman and Martina Navratilova.

As well as Wimbledon, Andrew has fronted basketball, motor racing and golf. He has hosted the quick-fire quiz Perseverance, presented London Tonight, waxed lyrical on The Wright Stuff and taken up daring challenges on Celebrity Fear Factor. He took to the floor with Ola Jordan on Strictly Come Dancing and presented the ITV game show Divided.

Andrew was British number one for seven years - competing in Davis and European Cups, and Olympic competitions in Seoul and Barcelona. He looks back on his career and the world of tennis, as well as recounting anecdotes from sporting and non-sporting interviews and the perils of live broadcasting.
