Known for their soulful arrangements combining up-tempo gospel, swing and R&B with joyful choreography and vocal gymnastics, any performance by the London Community Gospel Choir is a powerful experience. Whether in a large or small group, they create the richest of harmonies.
The choir has appeared on numerous programmes, from the Rock Gospel series to TFI Friday and The Royal Variety Show. They have collaborated with the likes of Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Elton John, Puff Daddy, Blur, Sting and Paul McCartney. They also sang on the soundtrack of Disney's The Lion King, and performed for Nelson Mandela during his official visit to London.
The choir has proved to be a rich source of talent. They are proud to list Nu Colours Paul Johnson, Lavine Hudson, Jefferson & Whitfield and Daniel Thomas amongst former members. As this roll call proves, they emerge out of an assortment of cultures - and leave every audience feeling uplifted.
