In early February, JLA organized a captivating Speakers Breakfast to celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day. There was a great turnout and JLA would like to thank all our clients who attended.
This was my first breakfast since joining JLA and it was an amazing way to start out. The occasion sparked a dynamic conversation featuring four amazing speakers. Each of these speakers could be an excellent addition to any event or conference and they each have their own unique perspectives.
Alex Mahon
The current Chief Executive of Channel 4 shared her experience as a woman in the forefront of the field. She spoke about the importance of implementing language in the workplace that allows women to discuss menopause and pregnancy loss in a corporate setting. She also illustrated the success and benefits a diverse team can bring to a company, particularly one that is consumer facing. Alex would be an incisive and rousing speaker at any event.

Julia Gillard
As former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia is not unused to being in a room full of men. Her experience in such hyper masculine spaces has given her a unique perspective on the stultifying effects that this can have on producing and enriching new and diverse talent. Julia is a charismatic presence and her anecdotal experiences over an impressive career make her an incredible raconteur.
