LJ Rich Andy Lane

Fee Band

The Click presenter is a self-confessed ‘cool hunter’ and hackathon fan. She’s also a concert pianist and composer and often mixes the two in presentations. LJ looks to the future user experience, from location based tech to mixed reality and the ‘tactile internet.’ We will soon be able to feel turbulence when flying a drone, and have offers pop up in front of our eyes. But how much will we want to tell our devices, and how much should our social currency be worth?

Biography

World-renowned musician and BBC TV broadcaster LJ Rich is a presenter on the BBC technology show Click. She has delivered lines at seventy-five mph from the UK's tallest thrill ride, performed to a drone in the sea off the Welsh Coast and learned to rap on camera thanks to a mind-reading AI headset.

LJ also hosts the United Nations ITU AI for Good summit and regularly uses AI to enhance her creative activities, from voice cloning to music composing.

A highly accomplished pianist, LJ uses music to connect the emotional and rational minds of audiences, unlocking creative thinking and solving real-world problems. She believes AI/Machine Learning can be a companion to creativity and regularly uses it to enhance her original works.

Her many innovative projects coupled with a wide knowledge of tech trends bring a spark to her professional speaking engagements. LJ speaks about the latest consumer and technology trends, how social media works and affects the world, and the nature of viral content and what makes it successful. Along with her work in front of the camera, LJ also runs her own music production company and occasionally writes restaurant reviews.
