Biography

Clara Amfo is a TV and radio presenter known for the energy and knowledge she brings to music, interviews and live performances on BBC Radio 1. She took over the reins of the Future Sounds show from Annie Mac and previously hosted the Radio 1 daytime show, including its world-famous Live Lounge slot, and the Chart Show. 

Starting her broadcasting career at Kiss FM, Clara soon moved to host the 1Xtra breakfast show and appear on MTV before heading to the BBC.

On TV, Clara has hosted coverage of the Brit Awards, the MOBOs, and the Baftas, as well as being a part of the BBC’s Glastonbury presenting team. She’s interviewed stars from Nicki Minaj to Spike Lee, Drake and Britney Spears. Her 1Xtra documentary Deeper than Skin was widely praised for it’s look at the sensitive subject of skin bleaching, whilst she also look a critical look at the fame industry for Newnight’s culture-focused spin-off, Artsnight.

As well as competing in Strictly Come Dancing, Clara has appeared on Would I Lie to You?, Celebrity Juice, Pointless Celebrities and Celebrity Masterchef, and has reported for The One Show.

For IWD 2021, Clara was immortalised as a Barbie Shero doll. She was awarded the Special Recognition Award at Stylist’s Remarkable Women Awards and in was named an Ambassador for Pantene’s Gold Series.

Date TBC.  We will be looking at high-performance and mindset with our two excellent speakers.

Guenther Steiner is the Former Team Principal of F1’s Haas, a role he held from the team’s inception until this year. Under his leadership, he grew Haas into one of the sport’s leading independent teams.

Joining Guenther on stage will be broadcaster and behavioural scientist Paul Mckenna, who has written a number of bestselling books, and works on how psychology and mindset can impact achievement.

Navigating Risk and Chaos – Strategies For Coping With An Uncertain World.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
