Biography

As a former BBC news presenter, with over twenty years’ experience, Nisha Pillai anchored rolling news for BBC World News, and conducted award-winning investigations for Panorama and the Money Programme. She started her career at Schroders, before moving into journalism on The Investors Chronicle.

After winning a Royal Television Society award for her nine-month investigation into Robert Maxwell’s financial empire, she moved to the flagship current affairs show Panorama and then to BBC World.

Nisha has led live location coverage of the Indian elections and the 50th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence. She also hosted live interactive debates between audiences in America, Pakistan and Jordan.

As well as live reporting Nisha has presented the BBC’s flagship interview programme HARDtalk, with guests ranging from the late Sir Yehudi Menuhin and VS Naipaul to Phil Collins.

In addition to being an accomplished live presenter and chair, Nisha also speaks, making sense of the Indian big picture, taking in both the economic trends and the regional diversity amongst twenty two disparate states.

Her areas of expertise span a wide range of subjects including economics, finance, IT, and the energy sectors. She also covers health and social issues and has worked closely with UN agencies such as UNICEF, UNIDO and UNAids.

Nisha teaches presentation skills to senior executives at London Business School. She also records podcast interviews with economists and research analysts for a US ratings agency.

Guenther Steiner is the Former Team Principal of F1’s Haas, a role he held from the team’s inception until this year. Under his leadership, he grew Haas into one of the sport’s leading independent teams.

Joining Guenther on stage will be broadcaster and behavioural scientist Paul Mckenna, who has written a number of bestselling books, and works on how psychology and mindset can impact achievement.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
