Sophie’s debut solo stand-up show, Venus, saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Fringe. She is a board member of the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society. Sophie has appeared on Taskmaster, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg, Live At The Apollo, and Mock the Week, and has performed and hosted masterclasses in stand-up comedy and improv internationally, in locations as diverse as New York, Utrecht and Accra.


Biography

Sophie Duker is a comedian and writer whose favourite things include breaking hearts, taking names, and telling jokes with the confidence of a cis straight middle-class white man. Her Edinburgh Fringe Show, Venus, saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer award and gained critical acclaim, and five-star reviews. The success of this show saw her performing a sold out two week run at the Soho Theatre. 

She is a regular guest on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, and has appeared on Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and Hypothetical. Sophie also appeared on Taskmaster, and Celebrity Mastermind, and went on win them both.

Sophie won the Funny Women Best Comedy Writer Award, as voted by producers, head writers and executives across the industry. She is also the host of the monthly comedy night, Wacky Racists Comedy Club, and was the host of the official TV companion podcast to I May Destroy You, Obsessed With… I May Destroy You, and the official TV companion podcast to Everything I know about Love, Obsessed With…Everything I know about Love, both are available to listen on BBC Sounds.

Date TBC.  We will be looking at high-performance and mindset with our two excellent speakers.

Guenther Steiner is the Former Team Principal of F1’s Haas, a role he held from the team’s inception until this year. Under his leadership, he grew Haas into one of the sport’s leading independent teams.

Joining Guenther on stage will be broadcaster and behavioural scientist Paul Mckenna, who has written a number of bestselling books, and works on how psychology and mindset can impact achievement.

Navigating Risk and Chaos – Strategies For Coping With An Uncertain World.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
