The Guardian’s ‘must see’ comedian has a string of television credits. He has also toured with Jack Dee and served on the Comedy Store Cutting Edge team. Gently poking fun at regional stereotypes, Paul has an easy rapport with corporate audiences.
Described by The Guardian as a ‘must-see’ comedian, Paul Thorne completed three series as team captain on the Montreux Award-winning comedy panel game, Bring Me the Head of Light Entertainment.
Since his first performance at the Edinburgh Festival, Paul has established himself as a wonderfully assured stand-up. He has developed a blend of playful gags and spontaneous wit, drawing on a wide range of subject matter from the topical to the simply absurd.
As well as performing at all the major venues, Paul can be seen on a weekly basis at London’s Comedy Store, where he is a resident member of the Cutting Edge team. He has also supported Jack Dee and Lee Hurst on their respective nationwide tours.
Paul’s other television credits include regular appearances on Live From Jongleurs and The Stand-Up Show. He has also recorded a set for Radio 4’s Cabaret on 4, and appeared on I Love The 1990s.
